Event Subject: Swinley Saturday MTB Sessions 8/8
Event Date: 21-2-2009 (9:00:00) - 21-2-2009 (12:00:00)
Event Description:
This is the last of the Swinley rides for this winter, we'll be back later in the year no doubt. Hope you can make it along, especially if you haven't made it to any of the others.
IMPORTANT: Next week we are repeating our 08 'tour' of Mychett with another ride around with the Tunnel Hill Trolls. You will need to be a regular intermediate rider to join. Sorry, no inexperienced riders on that one.
With the intention of short blasts over each section, the pace will be easy so you will only need a basic level of fitness. Your technical skills also need only be basic, the idea is to help develop them in a suitable environment and you can always ride around anything you don''t like the look of.
The forest has a designated ''Expert Mountain Bike'' area and the rest of the forest is criss-crossed with excellent single-track which we will start on before heading over to the expert area. Despite its popularity the trails are not busy and at the end of the rides we will stop at the cafe.
To ride there you should have a £2 day pass, but as these are only available to purchase from 10am you can purchase one (or buy an annual pass) online at:
https://sslrelay.com/www.mbsawebsite.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=15495293e973d29/shopdata/index.shopscript
Don't panic if you turn up without a pass, we will sort something out but do please make the effort beforehand.
Bring helmet/gloves/glasses/cash/spare inner/pump/water/fuel etc and dress appropriately for the weather.
